Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority – Rancho Canada Open Space Preserve Enhancement Project
In 2024, Brannon Corporation completed construction of the new Llagas Creek Bridge and Hidden Meadow Trail at Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve. The project aimed to expand access for seniors and others with limited mobility, connecting the Llagas Creek Loop Trail to a newly-installed bridge over Llagas Creek. Amenities include an accessible trail build with decomposed granite material, seating areas and interpretation signage about the surrounding environment.
      • PROBLEM: Expand the area to accommodate seniors and others with limited mobility, and enhance the structural aesthetic while protecting sensitive habitats.
      • SOLUTION: Earthwork – including excavation, grading, clearing, and grubbing. Reinforced concrete bridge abutments, construction of new stabilized decomposed trail, craning and installation of pedestrian bridge, aesthetic restoration to match historical design, and final revegetation with native plantings and hydroseeding.
      • TRANSFORMATION: Open Space Authority praised the quality of Brannon’s work, “Move Over, Golden Gate Bridge – There’s a NEW Bridge in the Bay!” Brannon joined Open Space Authority for a groundbreaking ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the enhanced facilities, along with members of the public.
